Known for his use of profanity as much as his culinary skill celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is one of the main attractions at this year's Good Food and Wine Show.

At this year’s event there are a number of celebrity chefs, including the aforementioned Ramsay, who will be sharing their tricks of the trade in the Good Food and Wine Show Celebrity Theatre.

Tobi Puttock will host a session entitled The Italian Job imparting some useful tips on how to prepare Italian cuisine. Puttock began his career at Melbourne’s Caffe e Cucina and was a chef at the Hotel Florence in Lake Como, Italy. But perhaps his greatest claim to fame is as Head Chef of the first Fifteen Restaurant – Jamie Oliver’s restaurant project in London.

Respected Sydney chef, and one of the stars of reality TV shows, The Chopping Block and My Restaurant Rules, Matt Moran will host the aptly named Sharpen Your Knives workshop. He and business partner Peter Sullivan are on their third restaurant which opened ten years ago - Aria at Sydney’s Circular Quay.

And Gordon Ramsay will host the Gordon Ramsay Live sessions held daily throughout the show.

Gourmet Garden Cooking School

Former head chef of Mondo Organics Dominique Rizzo will run a 90-minute Gourmet Garden Cooking workshop where participants will learn how to incorporate fresh herbs and spices into their daily cooking.

Rizzo will host three different sessions a day with topics as varied as:

  • Tasty, quick and easy meals on a budget
  • Easy entertaining with elegantly simple finger food
  • Fresh flavours of Asian cooking
  • Quick vegetable dishes for the whole family

Cheese and Wine Matching

For those who love cheese the Cheesematters Masterclass at the Good Food and Wine Show will allow participants to sample a range of cheese styles including fresh, soft white and washed rind styles, Cheddar, Parmesan and blue.

Presented by LifeStyle Food Channel host Naomi Crisante from Alive and Cooking the Cheesematters Masterclass will also give participants the opportunity to match cheese and wine and sample both.

The Decanter Bar For Wine Lovers

If learning more about wine is of interest then the Decanter Bar provides a comprehensive program. Over the course of the show there will be a myriad of classes to attend from the Australian Wine Masterclass, to the delicious Bubbles Darling session on sparkling wines and the more serious Burgundy and Shiraz classes.

There is also a Riedel Decanter class where participants can learn about the benefits of decanting - when, why and how and what wines are best suited to decanting. And on display will be the latest range of decanters from one of the finest glassware makers in the world.

Lindemans Early Harvest Restaurant

When visitors tire of wandering the halls and checking out the vast range of exhibits they can sit back and enjoy a range of recipes by celebrity chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Tobie Puttock in the Lindemans Early Harvest Restaurant.

Enjoy Ramsay’s Glazed Salmon with Spinach and radish salad served with Lindemans Early Harvest Semillon Sauvignon Blanc or Puttock’s Rotolo di Spinachi served with Lindemans Early Harvest Crisp Dry White or the richly satisfying Veal Osso Bucco. Plus there are sumptuous desserts to sample including chef Gary Mehigan’sClotted Cream and Lemon Curd Mousse and Spiced Gingerbread Crumble.
