A great line up of Australian bands and guests from the USA, Ireland and Sweden performing in the great atmosphere and venues of the Sydney Easter Show.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is an exciting annual event, with great music shows and a fantastic line up including; You Am I, Something For Kate, Josh Pyle, Ash, Mental As Anything, Angus and Julia Stone and Killing Heidi at The Shed. The Next G Extreme Arena provides the venue for the popular bands Something With Numbers, Blindside and The Matches. It is also the venue for live broadcasting by Triple J.

You Am I

Renowned for their great lives shows You Am I is an Australian alternative rock band fronted by Tim Rogers, who also writes most of the songs. You Am I were the first Australian band to debut at number one on the ARIA Charts with three successive albums. Most recent album is called “Convicts”.

Something For Kate

Melbourne based original rock trio. Most recent album “Desert Lights”

Josh Pyke

Singer-songwriter of folk influenced rock.

Ash

An alternative rock band from Ireland with a style that spans, Britpop, rock, punk, power pop, and grunge.

Mental As Anything

One of the quintessential Australian bands recently reformed and playing gigs throughout Australia.

Angus and Julia Stone

A brother and sister music sensation in the alternative pop vein.

Killing Heidi

In 1996 this band were “unearthed” by Triple J. Alternative rock with the distinctive vocals of Ella Hooper.

Something With Numbers

Five piece up and coming Sydney rock, pop and soul band.

Blindside

A metal influenced rock band from Stockholm, Sweden.

The Matches

An arty punk inflected rock band from Oakland, California, USA.

Triple J

Live broadcast directly from the showgrounds at the Next G Extreme Arena.

You Am I put on a fantastic live show. The energy is amazing. Tim Rogers connects diectly with the crowd and his enthusiasm is infectious. This band never fails to entertain. You've got to love it.
